No taxi for 48 hours Attica – MMM routes are reinforced
Without taxi Attica will stay today (Wednesday) until Friday morning, as professional motorists are on strike.
As announced by the Attica Taxi Trade Union (SATA), the strike is the result of « Mr Kyranakis’ continued refusal to have a direct dialogue with the Bureau of the Union, despite repeated demands, but has only chosen to talk to them ».
And he adds: « The Bureau of the SATA Faithful to the values he is proud of has exhausted every possibility of dialogue with Mr Kyranakis. »
SATA’s requests:
- « We are calling for the compulsory of the sorting of new cars of only zero pollutants from 1/1/2026.
- We want a response from the government because it leaves an application that they use either EDC. Taxi, either EIX Do not pay any tax, make their money overseas, leaving legal taxi -taxes only tax burdens.
- We demand a clear and without gray zones separation of the services provided by the taxi and the driver’s car rental. Urban transport only do taxis. By taxi the passenger makes a civil transport. - Stricter penalties and checks for piracy.
- We want proper implementation of the digital platform for EIH contracts. and creation of a guide rented registry.
- Legislation for the Criminal Registry Certificate (General Use) for the renewal of the special license.
- Review and digitization of special licenses and their introduction to Gov.gr Wallet.
- Immediate implementation of the decision of the Ministry of Finance (Papanatsiou) on the collection of the fee.
- Increasing a fare corresponding to the percentage increase in the minimum wage, which is the basis of the new tax system for owners.
- Abolition of the provisions in question of the new tax law and immediate implementation of a tax -free threshold of EUR 12,000.
- Exemption or VAT reduction for buying a professional car sorted as a taxi ESA.
- Reduction of EFK or fuel subsidy for a professional motor motorist on a permanent basis.
- Reduction of VAT in the fare. «
« Our struggle is also against the accuracy and the cost of life that stifles our income, » the SATA points out.
Reinforced MMMs to airport
Due to the 48 -hour strike mobilization of motorists, the decision was made to boost bus and subway routes to and from El. Venizelos. «
Thus, the bus lines are reinforced on May 28 and 29:
• X95 Constitution – Athens Airport (Express): Every 15 minutes,
• X96 Piraeus – Athens Airport (Express): Every 12 minutes,
• X93 St. Intercity Avenue of Kifissos – Athens Airport (Express): Every 15 minutes,
• X97 Athens Airport – St. Greek (Express, Circular): Every 30 minutes.

At the same time, today and tomorrow, from 09:30 in the morning until 16:00 in the afternoon, the subway to and from the airport.
In particular, an additional reinforcing train is launched to meet the expanded needs, which will run the Dukissis Placentia – Airport – Dukissi Placentia.
