1. Fairytale walk in Provincial Domain De Gavers
What? An enchanting walk through the magically illuminated domain De Gavers where children see their favorite fairy -tale characters come to life. Along the course they meet well -known figures from fairy tales that tell stories and offer interactive activities. The walk is completely decorated with atmospheric lighting, music and special effects. There is also a cozy fairy tale café where you can warm up with hot chocolate and other refreshments. Don't forget your flashlight!
When? From 3 to 9 March, daily from 2 to 8 p.m. The walk takes approximately 1.5 hours. The last starting moment is at 6.30 p.m.

2. Spring festival Walem
What? Bouncy castles and attractions on which children from 3 to 12 years old can enjoy themselves.
When? Thursday 6 and Friday 7 March, each time from 10 am to 5 pm.
Where? Sporthal Arena in Walem, Pastorijstraat 2 in Walem
3. Magic carnival walk
What? Aalst celebrates carnival for three days. There is an impressive procession on Sundays and Monday, Monday you can see the Gilles dancing or grabbing to the Golden onion during the Ajuinorp and Tuesday the Voil Jeanetten will travel through the city. If you also want to experience the largest folk festival in our country on other days, try the magical carnival walk. At different locations in the city you activate Audio, Video and Animation that immerse you in the carnival atmosphere.
When? Aalst carnival: from 2 to 4 March.

4. Giant games in the botanical garden in Meise
What? Hinkelwister, Giant Memory with plant images and the 'burial game': in the new greenhouse complex of the Botanic Garden, the Groene Ark, families will be able to enjoy giant games in the first week of March. After that they can also enter the botanical garden for a treasure hunt full of riddles and stories. For children from 4 to 12 years old.

5. Splashes in a subtropical swimming pool

6. Koers Museum of cycling
What? Course is the international treasure room of cycling where visitors discover the rich history of cycling. During the crocus holiday there are special tours and children can participate in a bicycle trail, a bicycle helmet customizing and experience a cycling race via Virtual Reality.
When? During the crocus holiday, daily from 10 am to 5 pm

7. Youth film festival Antwerp
What? Youth film festival Antwerp presents the very best children's and youth films of the moment. Afterwards you can take a dip in the Medialab full of digital experiments: test games, play with projections or step in a film with VR glasses.

8. Youth internships golf
What? Always wanted to play golf? During the crocus holiday, Golf Puyenbroeck organizes youth internships, both for beginners and more experienced golfers up to the age of 18.
When? From Wednesday 3 to Friday 7 March, from 9 am to 4 pm.

9. Stargazing days
What? As usual, the Volksstenrenwacht Mira organizes stargazing days that will take place this year on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 March. The public can not only look at the hopefully clear starry sky through the telescope, but also get to know the experiments and models in the permanent exhibition. In the course of the evening there are also several multimedia performances about our place between the stars.

10. Playing with alpacas
What? At the alpaca farm in Kaulille (Bocholt) you can have a good time with the woolly animals. A simple visit is possible, but you can participate in games or interactive activities with the alpacas and even book an overnight stay or alpaca party.
