No life -scale for the public in card making

The wilderness map is a new map of the wilderness of Iceland, but the map can come in handy to explore the environmental impact of structures and power plants.

The map was discussed on the Environmental Assessment Day of the Planning Agency today, but it was Snæbjörn Guðmundsson geologist and Ólafur Hauksson, public relations and spokesman for the wilderness map, who presented the map in a speech they held at this annual conference.

Ólafur and Snæbjörn reported that this new map is due, as there was a great need for a map to assess the effects of structures and land use on the wilderness.

In addition, there was no map in this country based on international and recognized ideology.

Card regional swap

What was stated in their mission was that the public sector did not seem to have a goal of life when it came to mapping, so some nature conservation organizations needed to do the work itself.

The wilderness is a regional change on the map into four parts, but it is divided into core areas, where most of the wilderness is, envelope and transition areas that are less widespread. The fourth area is no expanse.

The map can prove to be successful in assessing the effects of wind turbines and other structures on Icelandic expanse.

In addition, the card is used for environmental plans and environmental assessment, but the map can be accessed at vidernakort.is.
