NNGYK spoke about the kindergarten closed in the capital
The XV. District Woven Factory Street Kindergarten’s indoor air quality examination that concentrations of measured air pollutants do not mean extra health risk for children or workers there, the National Center for Public Health and Pharmacy (NNGYK) told MTI on Friday.
According to their announcement, the measurement results did not show harmful substances at high concentrations, but due to the uneven distribution and underground movement of the pollutants, it cannot be ruled out that higher values above concentrations may occur in the future.
They do not recommend re -opening
It was written that health effect estimates did not reveal extra risk for children’s health, but NNGYK still does not recommend it to use a kindergarten building.
During the studies, NNGYK checked the quality of the air with different measurement methods at every major point of the kindergarten, especially the rooms used by the children.
It was recalled that, at the request of the authorities, MNV Zrt. Acting on behalf of the state, at the request of the authorities, began to explore the condition of soil and groundwater, which means examining the geological medium and groundwater by sampling. The first phase of the work was completed in 2024, and the second stage is currently taking place.
Depending on the results, the necessary measures, such as remediation or land use, can be planned, they wrote.
They added that the authorities and the bodies concerned are working in constant cooperation to ensure that the health and safety of children are ensured in all circumstances.
