NMBS has alternative train service ready for Tuesday: three out of five IC trains

Due to the national strike in the public sector, fewer trains will run from Monday 19 May at 10 p.m. to Tuesday 20 May. The NMBS and Infrabel have worked out an alternative train service: on Tuesday, May 20, three will run in the five IC trains. The NMBS reports this on Sunday.

The NMBS advises travelers to prepare their journey well and regularly consult the online travel planner via the app or website. From Monday morning it will show the alternative train service for Tuesday. More information can also be found on the NMBS website.
The trade unions will again take action against the reform plans of the De Wever reform on Tuesday 20 May, this time only in the public services and on the initiative of the Socialist Civil Servants’ Association ACOD. According to the trade union, the saving plans of the arizonar regulation take the public sector extra hard: for example, civil servants wages will be indexed slower and pensions will also be calculated differently in the future, so that officials will eventually have to work longer for less pension.
