Nisse: Some contact with Livd audience
It is a little difficult to perceive what Bobby Gillespie says between the songs. On the one hand, he is from Glasgow and has a tricky dialect, and on the other he speaks surprisingly quietly for a vigorous singer in a party band like Primal Scream.
But above all, it is a guy to the left of me who overwhelm most of the middle talk by turning to his friends and shouting « Is anyone understanding what he says? » – And then continue to chatter until the next song starts.
So there it can be to go to a concert. You might rather remember the occasions when a whole seaside stood silent with all the attention on some fine -tuned that went on stage, but if there is a bit more sturdy music and also weekend evening – like then before National Day on Fållan in Stockholm – then it is more common with stumps and high in the audience.
And that’s the mood, too. Good energy back to the band, not least.
But ahead of the final sculk, it becomes clear what it can be like if the audience is not included in the notes, although it is very much included.
It is in the boogiero smoker « Country Girl », Bobby Gillespie wants to create dynamics and take everything down at the whisk level before the last discharge. He makes the thing very clear, explains to the audience, gestures « calm » with the whole body, the band lowers the sound volume.
What one above all hears then is How much It is buzzed from further back in the room. And when the silence slowly spreads, some people realize that now there is room for my voice, and start to call one or the other. Soon a small speech will start and so many people hook up that even the band must react and fall into the pattern for a moment.
And it is nice, atmosphere and audience contact. But now it is the audience as for, not Primal Scream.
So Bobby Gillespie makes an attempt with take -off and silence, he hyses and so does parts of the audience; In the end, it will be still enough for him to sing a couple of lines with lower case letters before it gets full throttle and Ramalama and everything lands according to plan in joy and extra number.
But how difficult it can be to control an audience is probably what I will remember most.
