The total number of licenses issued in construction, design, surveillance, detailed urban plans is somewhere over three thousand and to date we have reviewed 2,810 licenses and the number of revoked licenses is already 427, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski announced tonight.

He announced that the final figures would be announced on Tuesday and all the holders of licenses to be taken away by the competent prosecutor’s office and the Ministry of Interior would be removed by the name, so they could, as he said, checked out.

Minister Nikoloski informs Sitel Television Day that around 430 licenses will be sent to all stakeholders who work with these entities to know that they no longer have licenses.

Among other things, controls are also being made in the road sector – passenger transport, buses, vans and so on, also transporting goods both internally and internationally in the trucks. There, Nikoloski said, examinations are currently underway, but there will be final figures by Tuesday.

« The largest number for Building Builders from B Construction, which is all that is not a top state -owned building and residential buildings, where 198 licenses will be deducted, » Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport said.

Nikoloski cited the lack of professional staff as key reasons for the seizure of licenses, as well as certain types of construction machinery.

-We have noticed that the same person figures on five or six different companies or an agreement is made just to obtain the license, and then that employee is logged out. This is a classic system. Macedonia is a small country, and the ministry has issued about 3,000 licenses, which is more than real capacity – Nikoloski said, adding works expect the number of licensed companies to be reduced to about 2,500 after the next control.

The minister said that the projects involving these companies will be investigated in the coming period, and the companies that have lost their license will not be able to apply for a new one.

Nikoloski informs that after an urgent procedure on Tuesday legislative changes will be submitted, which will become obligatory every six months to have to be made, and also secondary and third degree, as part of the decision, will not affect the license procedures.

– My proposal for amendments to the law will be the appeal not to delay the enforcement, ie the license is immediately revoked, and then they have the right to complain. Those who lose their license for at least one year will not be able to apply again. If for any of them, the Ministry of Interior or the Public Prosecutor’s Office finds that they have also had crimes within their work, then other authorities are already performing and then there is already criminal responsibility in their work – said Nikoloski.

He added that it was informed that both the Ministry of Economy and the State Market Inspectorate, the Customs Administration, the Food and Veterinary Agency, several institutions within the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, several institutions within the Ministry of Energy in the field of concessions.

« There is a great massive action to check what has happened so far and I am convinced that it will lead to strengthening the laws, » Nikoloski said, stressing that the goal is not to punish, but the goal is to respect the laws and regulations.

Nikoloski stressed that the main goal is not to sanction entities, but to establish a stable and functional legal system. He added that this situation should be a lesson for the future and that the Government is committed to taking decisive steps to improve the situation, stressing that it is necessary to quickly make change.

Minister Nikoloski explained that according to the Law on Catering, the checking of the necessary documents for facilities, such as cabaret, was left to the conscience of the applicants and officials at the Ministry of Economy. He added that as a result, there was a lack of appropriate control, which led to current problems.

– This is the case in the Law on Catering, where it is practically left to the conscience of the one who submits and left to the officials within the ministry of economy officials, to check those necessary documents that a single facility should have, in this case to be called a cabaret, and in the end we had a result.

He expressed confidence that the government is making every effort to correct the situation and improve the mechanisms of control. As he emphasized, this is an inherited situation of the last 30 years, which cannot be resolved overnight, but there is a strong motivation for all involved to make the necessary changes.

According to him, it is important to act quickly and decisively in order to make progress and create a stable and legal basis for the future.

– This should be a great teaching not to repeat such things in the future, and as a government we do the most that we are able to correlate these conditions. This is an inherited situation for the past 30 years, it is not easy, but what we see, we see the motive for everyone to change and I think we need to do that hour sooner – concluded Minister Nikoloski.
