Before submitting the list, candidates gathered at the foot of Bastejkalns with their supporters. In his speech, Mayor of Riga, Vilnis Kirsis, emphasized: “This will be a decisive election for Riga, as there are only two choices – whether Riga will continue the path of change started in the 2020s and will strengthen the economic growth of the city, or the keys of Riga will return to political businessmen. More convenient, however, these elections will not be just about economic issues, and in these geopolitical conditions, the choice of voters in Riga will affect not only the security and responsibility of Latvia in Riga.

Therefore, in these elections, it is important to support the new unity – the political power that consistently defends Latvia’s European path and works on the development, security of Riga and the whole country.
