As the regional service explains, the board is a reminder of the rhythm of life in the countryside. This is part of the project « Here is a village, it is difficult here ».
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development took patronage over the action, and financing was obtained from the Pork Meat Promotion Fund.
A loud matter in the background
Dziennikbaltycki.pl reminds that the action is the aftermath a loud case of September 2024, when a farmer had to pay compensation for the stench of his pigsty.
It is exactly about the case of Szymon Kluki – pig breeders from Grodzisk near Łódź, who must pay 120,000 by court decision. PLN compensation to neighbors. Reason? A bothersome fragrance from the piggery. The media reminded that the neighbors moved to the village from the city.
– Now I have to pay compensation for being a farmer. This situation is a personal drama for me and my family, we are threatened with bankruptcy – said Kluk during the meeting of the parliamentary committee of agriculture.
The story of Szymon Kluki shows how difficult and complex relations between farmers and the neighboring village residents can be. Farmers are afraid that similar judgments may undermine the safety of their work and threaten the future of farms. In turn, some of the inhabitants indicate the problems that large farms carry – from noise to burdensome smells.
