Dr. Emma Cunningham, specialist in aesthetic medicine, says her clinic sees a stream of patients with skin problems as a result of the rapid weight loss.
Loss of fat and altered metabolism can make the skin extremely sun sensitive and cause sunburns, even with sunscreen.
« The combination of these factors can make people taking the medicine tend to get sunburns or rashes even when using sun protection, » she says according to Unilad.

Dr. Cunningham warns of mental fog as a result of nutritional deficiency in the case of rapid weight loss.
Dentists also feel the consequences.
Dr. Sepideh Jalali from The Tooth Club has seen an increase in patients with dry mouth, bad breath, acid damage and wounds in the mouth – all linked to changed eating habits and the body’s reaction to the medication.
Novo Nordisk, who is behind Ozempic, emphasizes that the product should only be used under the supervision of a doctor.
At the same time, patients are encouraged to report side effects and seek advice on problems.
