The new search on Thursday in Balen to the body of Heidi de Schepper has again yielded nothing. A whole day was dug after the suspects were interrogated with VR glasses, but that turned out to be in vain. Friday will be searched again.
Almost a week has now been dug in an industrial zone around Poeierstraat in Balen to the body of the murdered mother Heidi de Schepper, who suddenly disappeared in 2010. New interrogations of the suspects, this time with an ingenious virtual reality glasses, the investigators hoped for a breakthrough in the search for the body of the missing woman. The industrial area looked completely different in 2010. Two of the three suspects, Nick Geys and Michael D., now made confessions. The young mother was strangled, according to them commissioned by her ex-partner Nick M., who is currently holding his lips together.
During new interrogations from Nick Geys and Michael D., they were shown through Virtual Reality what the industrial zone looked like fifteen years ago. The researchers hoped that in this way they could indicate more specifically the place where they made the body disappear. Based on that, a whole day was dug on Thursday, but according to the Antwerp public prosecutor without result. The search will therefore continue on Friday. (Mkm)
