New salaries in education: The lowest for a teacher becomes BGN 2131, for the principal – 2596 BGN.

Teachers’ salaries will be increased by 15%as of March 1. The lowest major for educators will be BGN 2131. For senior teachers and senior kindergarten educators, it will amount to BGN 2198, and for the main teachers and the main educators – 2283 BGN. The directors will sign up for 2596 to 2665 BGN.

The new amounts of minimum basic salaries were determined today by an annex to the collective agreement for the pre -school and school education system. He was signed by the Minister of Education and Science Krasimir Valchev and the chairmen of the employers’ and trade union organizations in education. He was announced by the union of the Bulgarian teachers at CITUB and published the document.

Wages

The minimum basic remuneration of pedagogical specialists with leadership In kindergartens, municipal and public schools, personal development support centers, regional centers for supporting the inclusive education process, the state logopedic center and the National Palace of Children will be as follows:

Educators With a new basic remuneration of BGN 2131 will be the position of the position: teacher, educator, head of the « Information and Communication Technology » Division, psychologist, pedagogical advisor, speech therapist, hearing and speech rehab, corrector, choreographer and trainer in sports. With 34 levs more will be their basic salary if they have acquired a second degree of career development, and if the degree is first, the amount increases to 2200 BGN.

Senior teachers will receive BGN 2198 a minimum basic remuneration and the main teachers – 2283 BGN.

Allowance

The higher qualification degree of trade unions among educators receive allowances, which are also of new sizes. For the lowest fifth qualification degree will be paid BGN 38 each, and for the highest – first – BGN 113 per month. Now the amounts range from 33 to 98 BGN.

Doctor’s degree and Doctor of Sciences are also paid further and will also have an increase in March. For « Doctor » the allowance will be BGN 160 with the current 140. For « Doctor of Sciences » it increases from BGN 170 to 195 BGN.

Trade union members are also entitled to additional funds for the hours above the minimum rule for compulsory teaching work (lecturer). These amounts also increase with the current annex. Now they range from BGN 7.50 for pedagogical specialists with secondary education to 10.15 BGN for educators with a bachelor’s or master’s degree of higher education. The new sizes for the lecturer are from BGN 8.60 to 11.70 BGN respectively.

Working with children and students with special educational needs is also paid in addition and this amount is also increased with the annex of 33 to not less than BGN 38 per month for principals, teachers, and other pedagogical specialists – members of trade union or employers who conclude the annex with the Minister. For kindergarten assistants, the amount is increased from the current 16 to 18 BGN per month.

Non -teaching staff

The remuneration of the non -pedagogical staff is also increasing, and they will receive them with a retroactive date as of January 1, 2025, of the total amount of the state budget for increase of salaries (BGN 622 million), 128 million will defuse the raise of the remuneration of non -receiving staff.

According to the collective agreement, their remuneration ranges from 105% to 135% of the minimum wage. The lowest percentage is for the positions of assistant chef, educational mediator and assistant to the teacher, and the highest-for librarians, accountants, career consultants and social educators.

The upper limit of the supplements that are paid for the results achieved are also increasing. So far, the funds are between 2.5% and 3% of the annual amount of salaries of non -teaching staff. Today’s annex increases the second percentage to 3.5.
