New Numbers Shocking: Every Fifth is on early retirement
Across the country’s municipalities, a picture is far from uniform when it comes to early retirement among non -Western immigrants.
Figures from the Ministry of Employment Now reveals that the difference from municipality to municipality is far greater than many might have imagined.
Odense occupies a clear first place, where 19.2 percent of the municipality’s non -Western immigrants between the ages of 16 and 66 in 2024 were on early retirement. Shortly after, Helsingør follows with 18.9 percent and Aarhus by 18.7 percent. Conversely, Rebild is at the bottom with a modest 3.3 percent.
At national level, 11.6 percent of non -Western immigrants receive early retirement, while the figure for Danish -born is 6.5 percent. But that the difference across municipal boundaries is so significant is arousing attention.
Integration expert and former caseworker Henrik Kokborg points out that parallel societies play a significant role:
« If we look at the parallel communities, here are some who talk about what to say to the municipality so that you can get a retired pension, » Henrik Kokborg told BT And adds, « I’ve even sat with disease investigation and have experienced how impassable diseases were apparently exaggerated. »
Kokborg believes that public services in some environments are considered a rather rather than as an aid and that the system is therefore used purposefully.
