New explosion in parental home known drug criminal in Deurne: two suspects arrested (Deurne)

In the B TweMontstraat in Deurne-Noord, on Sunday morning around 4.30 am an explosive was thrown to the front door of a house. Two suspects could be stopped by the police a little later. The home of Mohamed T. was also targeted on Wednesday.

The emergency services received different calls just before 4.30 am on Saturday night for an explosion in the B TweMontstraat in Deurne-Noord, near the Sportpaleis. « There was an explosion at a building in the street, » confirms Wouter Bruyns, spokesperson for the Antwerp police zone. The door of the targeted house was damaged, there were no injuries.

Immediately after the explosion, the police checked in the area and noticed a suspicious car. « The two passengers have been arrested. Their involvement in the facts is currently being investigated, » says Bruyns. The lab of the judicial police comes to the scene for a trace investigation, DOVO Dovo was also notified.

It is the second explosion in a few days against the same building in the B TweMontstraat, on Wednesday evening strangers threw a fire bomb to the house. The targeted house is the parental home of Mohamed T., a well -known drug criminal who currently serves a ten -year in prison sentence for his role in the criminal organization of his brother -in -law Othman El Ballouti.
