Delegations of the Russian Federation and the United States ended talks in Saudi Arabia tonight, which lasted more than 12 hours.

A joint statement on the results of the talks will be announced tomorrow.

It was previously said that the two delegations agreed to the text of the joint statement.

The chairman of the Federation Council International Committee, Gregory Karasin, said earlier today that « the meeting is going into a creative atmosphere » and that « the parties have been discussing an interesting discussion on current topics ».

Negotiations were held behind closed doors at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, where Washington mediated a limited ceasefire after more than three years of fighting in Ukraine.

A key focus on negotiations was to secure a stopping attacks on energy capacities. Both Russia and Ukraine have generally agreed to this partial truce, but that has yet to be implemented.

The United States is also pressuring to extend the ceasefire of the Black Sea vessel routes.

The Moscow delegation is led by a career diplomat Grigory Karasin and Sergei Sermon, a senior intelligence officer and a close man of confidence in Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The US delegation in Saudi Arabia includes US Special Representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg and US National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, as well as Andrew Pick, Director of Europe at the National Security Council and Michael Anton, Director of Political Planning at the State Department.

Earlier, Saudi media reported that Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Skirov had arrived at a new round of talks in Saudi Arabia.
