National Bureau of Investigation, Vote Purchase Arrests

Investigations into electoral crimes have come down on the ground. This Thursday, BKH agents and Shkodra police have conducted investigative searches and actions in some areas such as Malesia e Madhe, Barbullush, Bushat and Mjeda.

It is about criminal proceedings that have been registered by the SPAK for electoral crimes in Shkodra and in this context there were also escorted, which is verifying if they attempted to affect the 11th May elections.

In Shkodra was the head of the SPAK, Altin Dumani, where he held a meeting with prosecutor Albert Murçaj. The same head of the SPAK did in Lezha, where he met with Arben Nika, the Commander as Chief Prosecutor of Lezha, as well as with representatives of the local police in Lezha.

Earlier, the SPAK officially announced that materials have been administered for 123 suspected cases of electoral crimes, of which only 35 cases have initiated criminal proceedings, on suspicion of electoral crimes, to identify persons attempting to influence elections. In 8 cases, the SPAK launched an investigation mainly, while in the other 20 cases it was the police that referred the cases to the SPAK.

Despite the loud political noise, only two reports of political entities have been recorded. Three other reports came from citizens and two from general jurisdiction prosecutors.
