-Do you feel after you donated blood, some kind of weakness?

The first time I donated blood for my mother
The Narvity woman Yekaterina told NG that in Rugodiv it donated blood for the fifteenth time, and in general – more than thirty.
“For 18 years, as I am a donor,” the woman said. – For the first time she donated blood when my mother needed help with her transfusion. Brother then handed over. Today he will come later.
– How do you experience time immediately after blood donation?
– Nothing special. I just constantly want to drink a lot of water. There is no negative dizziness or something else, there is no negative, ”said Catherine, who are important gifts for donation only as a reminder of the made.
Narva Hospital Donor Blood is needed daily
The Narva Hospital informs that every day there are patients in it, to save the life of which donor blood and its components are needed.
The gynecologist of the Narv hospital, Dr. Alina Sakharova, recalls a recent case when a 34-year-old woman with severe purulent inflammation was delivered to the hospital, demanding immediate surgical intervention. Its condition quickly worsened due to a serious infection and previously not diagnosed chronic anemia (pathological condition characterized by a decrease in the number of red blood cells and hemoglobin).
“When the patient entered the hospital, the hemoglobin level in her blood was 94 g/l,” says Dr. Sakharova. – A day later, it decreased to 75 g/l, which indicated progressive anemia and the inability of the body to independently cope with inflammation and infection.
It was decided to carry out an urgent operation, but by that time the hemoglobin level reached critical indicators. Without the treatment of anemia, the operation would be extremely dangerous: the risk of great blood loss, severe hypoxia and complications from the cardiovascular system, increased, both during the operation and after it.
It was at this moment that donor blood played a decisive role. The transfusion stabilized the level of hemoglobin, allowing you to safely conduct the operation. Thanks to the transfusion, the woman received vital treatment and a chance for complete recovery. “Blood transfusion has become a critical procedure that saved the patient’s life.
