Narva Hospital is preparing for major repairs: the construction examination of the corps on Khailla 1 began
The Narva Hospital began a construction examination before the overhaul of a six-story building built in the 70s. At the first stage, a preliminary inspection of the condition of the building was carried out. This stage is part of a large reconstruction project aimed at increasing energy efficiency, improving the planning and expanding the functional capabilities of the building.
The project is implemented together with Telora Oü, one of the leading construction consulting companies in Estonia, which will carry out technical supervision and expert assessment at all stages of work. At the first stage, the company's specialists conducted a visual check of the building, which made it possible to draw up a general idea of its condition without the need for detailed measurements and technical studies. Experts examined the foundation, floors, windows, doors and facades to evaluate their current stability and determine the need for additional examinations.
The project manager from Telora Oü, Calle Kiristya, presented preliminary examination results and spoke about the following steps. The data collected at this stage will help to determine the need for additional studies, the results of which will be the basis for developing the final overhaul project. No serious surprises have been identified, but further work will more accurately assess the condition of the building.
In the process of reconstruction, it is planned to update thermal insulation, modernize engineering systems and install solar panels. The project also provides for the creation of a comfortable and affordable environment for all visitors, including people with vision, hearing, mobility and cognitive functions. The updated building will meet modern standards for medical institutions and will become much more energy -efficient.
“After the examination is completed, by mid -summer, the hospital will announce a tender for design and construction, which will become the next stage of work. The updated case will include 64 beds, emergency medicine, an operational block and working rooms for about a hundred employees. In the coming year, we have to organize a temporary move for the repair period, ”said Yullar Lanno, a member of the board of the Narva Hospital.
The project is financed at the expense of the European Fund for Regional Development, which allocated 15 million euros, as well as state support in the amount of 1.76 million euros. The Narva hospital also invests about 880 thousand euros of its own funds.
