Within the framework of the project, it is planned to build a section of a pedestrian-wound path with a length of about 0.97 km-from the Yoala Park (formerly I will go out the park) along Raudtey Street (mostly along the railway) to GRA Street. Construction work is carried out by N&V Oün by order of the Department of Municipal Economy of the Narva City Council. The owner’s supervision is carried out by EastConsult Oü.
As an appointment point on this route, according to the chief specialist of the Department of Anna Karina, the places of work and accommodation, schools, shopping centers, shops, transport hubs, places of rest, cultural institutions, etc. were taken into account. “Street lighting is also planned to increase the comfort and safety of users along the new path,” the chief specialist in July of our readers with the details of the project was introduced.
The project received support from the European Creation Policy Fund under the program « Investments in local governments in bicycle and pedestrian paths« . Its total value was reported in July last year in a press release from the Narva Goroprava, will be an amount of up to 450,000 euros, of which support is up to 315,000 euros, and the city self-financing is up to 135,000 euros.
Narva has been working on the development of a network of bicycle and paces in the framework of various projects for several years: in 2017-2018. In the city, 36.5 km of paths were built, which made up most of the bicycle-pedestal network of Narva. In 2018–2021, bicycle-pedestrian paths were built from Narva to Narva-Yesuu and from Tyrvaye to Peerrism. A starting project is a logical continuation of the previously implemented stages.
Construction work on a new section of bicycle-pursuit in Narva will be extended approximately until the end of October 2025.
