What the six -year agreement with Al Shira’aa Stables was worth has never been published, but that the new sponsor also got the right to change the competition’s name to Al Shira’aa Falsterbo Horse Show is a clear indication that it was big money.
Which organizers so well needed. Arranging a big competition in « Lilla Sweden » – in a sport where the competition sites are becoming increasingly exclusive and the prize money ever larger – is a costly story.
It is constantly something that needs to be addressed at the competition site, in order to attract the best riders, good facilities are required for horses as well as people and prize money that make it worth going to Skåne.
Considering on that The competitions lost their main sponsor after the competitions in 2023, it is therefore to some extent understand that those responsible for the competition thought it was attractive when Al Shira’aa Stables were interested. An actor who is already involved in two enriched equestrian competitions, one in Germany and one in England.
But no matter how attractive it may have been, it is still astounding that no one realized that this was a collaboration lined with so many serious warning triangles that one should never even have sat in a negotiation with them.

Those responsible for the Falsterbo Horse Show are not pigeons but skilled and knowledgeable people with great experience who have built up a fantastic competition. How they could land this wrong is therefore incomprehensible.

If they do not succeed with the latter, this story may have cost something more important than the millions that disappeared when the agreement ended.
