Must be done by the end of 2040
After Easter, Bilka got the first electric cars on the roads to supply oatmeal, milk and eggs directly to the customers’ door steps.
Part of the home delivery fleet is now electric, but there are several electric cars on the way.
In a few years, the ambition is that all Bilka’s home delivery cars should run on electricity.
« In addition to the 10 electric cars Bilka has already received, another four cars will come in a month’s time. During June, they are expected to be established as a regular part of Bilka’s home delivery. The electric cars will initially be used to run the shorter routes, but in the long term all cars must run on electricity. reserved for commercial vehicles, which is why we gradually increase the number of electric cars and only phase out the fuel cars completely when they have improved, ”says Nicolai Gradman.
Car Cathogo Homemade Development In Rapid Development
After almost two years of life, Bilka has accelerated the expansion of Bilkatogo Homemade Supply significantly, so Bilka today reaches 94 percent of Danish postal codes – a significant increase from last year’s 64 percent.
« In Bilka, we are constantly trying to optimize and lift the shopping experience for our customers, and home delivery is an important part of that trip. As Bilkatogo Homemade Supply is filling more and more in our business, there is also a need for more homemade cars, and it has been obvious for Bilka to get electric cars in the stable, » says Director of Bilka, Mark H. Nielsen.
In addition to Bilkatogo staff, which will be in charge of picking and packing the goods, it is also Bilka’s own service stalls that make sure the goods are brought out during the evening-now without engine noise.
In Salling Group, the goal is that all gasoline and diesel transport with their own cars be phased out by the end of 2040.
The next step will be to include subcontractors, ie. Suppliers that are not directly controlled by Salling Group.
