Musk will spend less time on doge
Billionaire Elon Musk revealed on Wednesday that, from May, will spend much less time to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge). This department was created by the US President to reduce federal expenses.
« Probably from next month, May, the time I will allocate to Doge will decrease significantly, » Musk said during a conference call to publicize the results of the first trimester of Tesla, a leader’s electric vehicle company.
“From next month, I will devote more time to Tesla,” he said, adding that the “crucial work” of the Efficiency Department was “widely completed”.
The group announced on Wednesday results from the first quarter that fell short of expectations, affected in particular by the close collaboration of Elon Musk with the Trump administration.
Global sales of the brand fell more sharply than expected in the first quarter, with only 336,681 vehicles delivered (-13% in homologous terms). « As we know, there were repercussions because of my time in government … I think the work we are doing there is really very important to control the insane deficit that is leading our country, the United States, to destruction, » musk stressed.
