Spacex and Elon Musk they may get their own place in South Texas. Today, voters vote in a small area of Texas to formally establish a Novo mesto named Starbase in the area where SpaceX is organizing launching missiles in Texas. The proposal for Novo mesto was made by SpaceX in December last year.
A few hundred inhabitants of the area called Boca Chica will decide in the elections whether their neighborhood should become a city, giving the authorizations to adopt urban decrees. The outcome of the vote, which will be decided almost by employees of SpaceX and their families, who represent most of the local population, will almost certainly be in favor of setting up the city. Just over 500 people live in the Starbase base, of which 260 are employed by a space company and the rest are their loved ones.
