Musk claims not taking drugs
Ilon Musk announced last night to X (X) that he did not use drugs, a day after the New York Times wrote that during the election campaign, yesterday’s Donald Trump associate took significant quantities of ketamine, ecstasy and hallucinogenic mushrooms.
-To be clear, I don’t take drugs! The New York Times is lying. A few years ago I used a recipe ketamine and I published it on X, so this is nothing new. I haven’t taken it since then – wrote the richest man in the world.
In his article on Friday, the New York Times announced that Musk consumed significant quantities of ketamine, anesthetic with stimulating effects, ecstasy and hallucinogenic mushrooms during a US election campaign.
Ilon Musk, CEO of X, Tesla and SpaceX, has previously publicly stated that he uses low doses of ketamine to combat depressive tendencies and that it helps him work more efficiently.
The New York Times has based its article on private messages and interviews with more than 10 people who know Musk or work with him.
The Wall Street Journal announced last year that Musk had used drugs in the past. Some members of the Tesla Board, his electric vehicle company, were concerned about its use of drugs, including « ambient » to treat sleep problems.
Musk resigned from the US administration on Friday where he was in charge of reducing federal spending. He said he was doing so because he neglected his businesses.
