Perhaps this will be the concerts that will take place this summer in Liepaja, Jelgava, Roja and Saulkrasti. Composer Emil Zilbert, the creator of the concert program, admits that the choice of songs has not been easy. « As a theater person, Wigner’s music is closer to the show, so the biggest emphasis is on theater music and songs. Many of them are known, but the concert will also be not so popular, but not less sound, » says Zilbert. And where the theater songs, the actors who will perform them: Elīna Boyarkina, Lauris Dzelzītis and Varis Vētra.

« The other facet is the music created by the composer. Undoubtedly, Ivars Wigner’s songs embody the lightness, truthfulness and love for life, people and their relationship twists and weaknesses, » says E. Zilbert. Singers Annija Putnina, Normunds Rutulis, Artūrs Gruzdiņš and Ingus Petersons will participate in the concert.

The third composer Ivars Wigner’s facet is cinematic music – he has 37 feature films, 15 animated films and 36 documentary music music, has made music for more than a hundred documentaries and promotional videos. Outside Latvia, Wigner became popular thanks to Aloiz Brench’s legendary films Mirage the soundtrack.

« I don’t want to highlight one single song, each listener already has his own associations, memories, » says E. Zilbert. « I want to emphasize Ivars Wigner’s sense of music, because by listening to his music, you can relax and look deeper into the songs in your world of feelings. But all over is the joy of life, the lightness.

The director and director of the concert program, actor Imants Strads, will introduce the audience to the audience with fun and unexpected events from Ivars Wigner’s mottled life.
