Museum Night. Over 75 museum institutions participating in
Over 75 museum institutions, bringing together 210 museum spaces from all over the country, open their doors on May 17 for the Night of Museums 2025, the Ministry of Culture announced on Thursday night.
According to a statement sent to AGERPRES, ‘an impressive number of 500 specialists in the field of heritage and museum education will organize 677 cultural-educational activities addressed to all categories of public, from the youngest visitors to the mature public, passionate about history, art, science and tradition’.
At the same time, for the first time in the history of this event, the Ministry of Culture supports the Night of Museums through the priority projects, reaffirming the commitment to the use and promotion of the national cultural heritage, a special attention being paid to museum workers this year.
‘It will be the most important night of the year, the night the cultural heritage of Romania and those who administer it are where their place is: in the center of attention! From Tulcea to Timișoara, from Sighet to Calarasi, from Bucharest to Sibiu, in all the counties and cities of the country the culture vibrates, closer to people, on a May night. I invite Romanians to rediscover the national heritage, to meet those who protect it and to live together the joy of a unique evening dedicated to culture, « said the Minister of Culture, Natalia Intotero, quoted in the statement.
For his part, the president of the national network of museums in Romania, Ciprian Stefan, the manager of the Astra Museum, welcomed the support given to the organizers of the event Night of the Museums by the Ministry of Culture, appreciating it as necessary, a confirmation of the importance of museums, for people ‘.
The Ministry of Culture addresses thanks to all the museum personnel for ‘devotion, professionalism and passion with which they work, daily, in the service of visitors and national cultural heritage’ and invites the general public to participate in the events organized throughout the country and to support, by presence, the efforts of those who work in Romania.
