Episode 1
The 34-year-old Ursula Glück was shot in her tent in Peru in 1997 in Peru on the Inca path at night and later died in the hospital. Her Israeli husband, with her on a honeymoon, has to testify in Munich. Commissioner Rita Berg has an initial suspicion, but the case is explosive and international attention should be avoided.
Episode 2
Munich, 1999: Rita Berg is convinced that the husband killed his wife to enrich her life insurance. After long negotiations, Rita is given permission to travel to New York where the couple lived. There she hopes to find evidence to bring the suspect back to Germany.
Episode 3
The suspect is in custody and continues to deny. Despite the stressful diaries and insurance funds, the evidence is not sufficient. Rita enforces a new trip to Peru to hear witnesses and find the murder weapon. In Cusco, she met with a rough investigation in the local authorities.
Episode 4
Together with a German-Peruvian team, Rita goes to the Inca path. In one night she is attacked in her tent near the crime scene – threat or chance? With a detailed reconstruction of the course of the crime, it exposes false information from the suspect. But decisive evidence is still missing. Rita travels to Cape Town to ask a key witness and finally to conclude the case.
