Municipality of Lezha, innovation in public beaches management
Tourism and Environment Minister Mirela Kumbaro, along with Prime Minister Edi Rama, are holding a meeting today with touroperators and coastal mayors for preparations for the summer season 2025.
In his address at this meeting the Mayor of Lezha, Pjerin Ndreu brought the new experience of management of beaches by the Municipality of Lezha. In addition to focusing on catering giving preference to those with hotel structures, the problem remains empty, from cleanliness, beach guards, public baths, information tables for public beaches, etc.
He said the Municipality of Lezha has set up a public enterprise, Lezha Invest, where these problems have been addressed to provide a higher service quality than the private. According to Ndreu there will be 3 centers with 30 seasonal employees. The needs of the beach stations in the Rana area of Hedhun, Center Shengjin Kune-Tale have been determined. Flexible will be the use of chazlongs to rent or buy them from the municipality. They will be offered with a modest payment, against the free selection of citizens who will rest on the coast of Lezha. It will be in choosing the citizen if he will rent a tent and chaise, or enter without them. The chazlongs with the tent will be from 500 to 300 ALL. This organization is thought to bring profits to the municipality. For two or three years it is also thought to create the possibilities of buying new cleaning tools for the municipality.
Ndreu sought the cooperation of state structures for the well -being of public beaches. This year is a test for which he expressed confidence that it will be successfully passed.
