Multiple Istanbul rally in support of arresting opposition leader Imaglu (Video)

Hundreds of thousands of supporters of the arrested mayor of Istanbul Ekrem Imamoglu gathered in Maltepe, on the Asian coast of the city, to express their protest against the experience of Turkish President Erdogan to eliminate his main political rival.

Imamoglu was elected presidential candidate, although he was arrested on March 23 and removed from office with accusations of corruption and cooperation with PKK.

« Justice cannot be banned. We will fight together on the way to victory, » his wife Dilek said.

« We will raise this side of our feet together. From now on, the country belongs to 85 million people, not only to one person. The country cannot belong to those who say: If you are not with me, you are my enemy, » said Ankara Mayor Mansur, considered a possible alternative if Imaglu fails to appear.
