Multiple Annual General Meeting of the Energy Cluster
The Annual General Meeting of Energy Classes held this morning, where Sigurður Atli Jónsson, CEO of Arctic Europe, was elected new chairman. The meeting was held in the premises of Verkís and the meeting was well attended by the member companies of the Energy Cluster.
Jóhann Páll Jóhannsson, Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate, set the meeting with a speech where he emphasized the importance of cooperation and innovation in the transformation of the energy system. He thanked the energy cluster for a strong cooperation in supporting energy development and enhancing the competitiveness of the industry.
At the meeting, the Director of Energy, Rósbjörg Jónsdóttir, reviewed the status and future of the cluster and reviewed how effective cooperation within the forum has become. Also exceeded annual report the platform.

As mentioned earlier, Sigurður Atli Jónsson, CEO of Arctic Europe, was elected new chairman of the class for two years. He takes over from Árni Magnússon, who has served as the presidency since 2021.
