Multicultural Mass in memory of Pope Francis
Numerous people gathered at the Landakot Church in Reykjavik last night to remember Pope Francis who died on Monday morning, 88 years old.
David Tencer, the bishop of the Catholic Church in Iceland, and the priests of the Reykjavik Bishop went to the Memorial Mass and a prayer time for the Pope’s soul.
Among those attending the Mass were Kristrún Frostadóttir Prime Minister, Thorgerður Katrín Gunnarsdóttir Foreign Minister, Guðrún Karl Helgudóttir Bishop of Iceland, Halla Tómasdóttir President of Iceland and her husband Björn Skúlason. Halla will be present at the funeral of Pope Francis in the Vatican on Saturday.
