Foreign Minister and Foreign Trade Minister Timco Mucunski on the sidelines of Antalya The diplomatic forum met with OSCE Secretary -General Feridun H. Sinirlioglu, with the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Mikhail Popshoyu, with Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili, as well as with MEPs.
At the meeting with High Representative Schmidt, the MNRNT informed, the focus was on the political situation in the region, the European perspective of the Western Balkans and the importance of constant engagement for stability, peace and reconciliation. The meeting with the OSCE Secretary -General, Sinirlioglu, was extremely constructive – aimed at exchanging views on security challenges and identifying the potential for promoting regional stability and cooperation.
Meetings with Moldova and Georgia foreign ministers confirmed excellent bilateral and multilateral cooperation, with a joint commitment to strengthen economic ties and intensify support within European integration processes.
At a meeting with MEP Ilhan Kucuk, Minister Mucunski stressed the importance of opening and conducting accession negotiations as the best mechanism for ensuring the irreversibility of the reform processes and democratic development. He emphasized that it is necessary to de -escalate bilateral blockades and restore the process of European integration into its essential framework – evaluated by merit and fulfilled criteria.
