Mucunski on a working visit to the German province of North Rhine – Westphalia, Bilateral and Economic Cooperation Topics

Foreign Minister and Foreign Trade Minister Timco Mucunski pays a working visit to the German province of North Rhine – Westphalia yesterday and today. During the visit, the minister met with his host, the Minister of Federal, European, International Affairs and the Media and Head of the State Office of the Province, Nathanel Limitan, as well as with Secretary of State Mark Spiich.

The focus of the talks was the excellent bilateral relations and the dynamic cooperation that has been developing in the past. Minister Mucunski noted that North Rhine – Westphalia is an extremely trusted partner of our country – both in the political and economic sphere and in support of European integration. He expressed gratitude for the principled and continuous support of the province, as well as for the personal engagement of the Minister Limenki in promoting political, economic and institutional cooperation.

-This province is the seat of many leading German companies and home to a numerous Macedonian diaspora -factors that further strengthen our relations. We have jointly expressed confidence that this visit is opening a new chapter in our partnership and that we will continue with concrete activities to promote political and economic ties – Minister Mucunski said after the meeting.

During his working visit, Minister Mucunski also met with Felix Neugart, director of the North Rhine -Westphalia Trade and Investment Agency. Talks were committed to the opportunities for further intensification of trade cooperation, realizing new investments in strategic sectors, as well as deepening partnerships in areas such as energy, tourism, advanced technologies and digitization

In addition, the benefits our country offers for foreign investors, as well as the government’s willingness to be an active and reliable partner in the realization of their projects. The interlocutors agreed that there is a real potential for promoting trade and economic cooperation in the coming period.

During the visit, Minister Mucunski also visited the Macedonian community in the city of Solingen yesterday, where he met with the numerous and active diaspora.
