From Kasachstan to great -grandmother’s knees
Nina Dück Until recently, she lived in Kazakhstan. She moved to Germany literally a few weeks ago. As she says, she already needed family support. The granddaughter Ewelina arrived with her, who was in advanced pregnancy, with six children and her husband at his side. They lived together in Ronneburg, Thuringia.
It was there, in the clinic in the nearby city of Gera, that Levin, number 100, was born. Healthy, 3770 grams of weight. The moment when Nina hugged him in his arms even moved the hospital staff. The photos went to the internet, then to the German media, and now to the whole world.
Four generations under one roof
There is a buzz in this house, laughter, children’s stamps and memories of older ones. Four generations live under one roof: great -grandmother Nina, her daughter, granddaughter Ewelina with her husband and children, and now the newborn Levin. Today it is a rare picture, not only in Germany, but also in Poland.

Family like a saga
Nina’s story is a ready film script. Her ancestors came from today’s Poland and Germany. Over a hundred years ago, the family emigrated east. First to Ukraine, then she was sent to Siberia. Nina herself was born in Russia, and from 1959 she lived in Kazakhstan. After decades of her life in exile, she returned to Europe, straight into the arms of her family.
Today he can proudly say: I have one hundred great -grandchildren and I love each of them the same.
