Movement of goods in ports grew 6% in 2024

Continent ports moved 88 million tons by 2024, an increase of 6% compared to the previous year. Sines’ performance was the driver of Sines’s performance.

For the evolution recorded in 2024, mainly contributed the performance of the Port of Sines, which progressed 11%, with a reinforcement of traffic on the Cape Route. In 2024, Sines accounted for 54% (47.8 million tons) of the busy load.
During this period, the container movement advanced 11% to 3.3 million (standard measure equivalent to the space occupied by a container with approximately 6.1 meters in length).
