Radom in mourning. Jolanta Falkiewicz, a valued folk artist, died
– In deep sadness we accepted the news of the death of Mrs. Jolanta Falkiewicz, a folk artist from Radom, who for many years was associated with the Museum of the Radom Village. Her departure is a great loss for the entire community of folk artists and all of us. We will miss it very much – we read in the museum’s announcement.
The funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, April 15 at 13 in the church of Bernardines in Radom. After the service, there will be a burial at the Roman Catholic cemetery at ul. Limanowski.
Born in 1953, Jolanta Falkiewicz was a teacher by profession. She specialized in ritual and decorative arts, passionately devoting herself to the art of paper. She began her adventure with handicraft under the watchful eye of her grandmother, learning basic designs and techniques. With time, however, she developed her talent to such an extent that she was able to create almost everything from paper, gaining recognition as a master in this field.
