If you run gasoline or diesel – then change oil as well.
It is expensive to drive with heavy loads, and with electric cars, a heavy car significantly reduces the range. Therefore, make sure you only pack the necessary things.
Proper tire pressure provides better driving economy
Also check the tire pressure from home. It is expensive to drive with too low tire pressure, says Christian Jensen:
« According to the Danish Transport and Construction Agency, the consumption of fuel increases by 5-10 percent if 20 percent air is missing in the tires. You will find the optimal tire pressure in the car’s instruction manual, in the door post or on the gasoline cover- and remember that when the car is heavy holiday pack, the tire pressure should be slightly higher than otherwise. »
« If you drive electric car, the correct tire pressure and quality tires with low rolling resistance can make a huge difference for your reach, up to 5-10 percent, » emphasizes Christian Jensen.
Half -surface tires also have a major impact on safety, both for steering properties, stability and braking ability.
Run slower
If you drive 110 km/ten the site for 130 km/h, you save 20 percent fuel or energy consumption.

Use the roof box with care
« The car manufacturers spend a lot of effort designing the cars as streamlined as possible – and a roof box is not part of the design, » says Christian Jensen, who explains:
« A roof box creates wind resistance so that the engine has to work harder. Calculations from the Danish Transport and Construction Agency show that a roof box can increase the consumption of fuel or power by as much as 15 percent. »
