Police arrested 11 drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol yesterday: four in Zemgale, two in Latgale, Vidzeme and Riga region, and one in Kurzeme. One driver was also detained in Latgale, who had used drugs. The ten detained drivers were so serious at the helm of the vehicle that they were criminalized, so they would confiscate the vehicle or recover the value of the vehicle.

Meanwhile, 212 protocols were drawn up for drivers yesterday for speeding: 27 drivers in Riga, 62 in Vidzeme, 43 in Kurzeme, and in Latgale and Zemgale each.
