Controversy around Moto Show in Krosno. Regulations under the magnifying glass
The prosecutor’s office also checks whether the organizer should report races as a mass event. The sale of tickets shows that 500 tickets were sold. The entry in the regulations of the event is also controversial. It contains detailed rules for participation in races. It was mentioned that all participants, including the car driver and the audience, appear at the event only of their own will and with full risk awareness. Thus, it is suggested that a person joining the competition or watching the struggle is responsible for any consequences.

Is it an attempt to release from responsibility? Prosecutor Monika Kaszubowicz emphasizes that clauses in the regulations do not mean that the organizer may give up the obligation to guarantee safe conditions.
In her opinion, it is impossible to repeal from responsibility when an unfortunate event occurs during the event.
– It’s not like a person who organizes a party with a certain risk can release himself from responsibility based on such entries. It is the organizer to ensure security. These provisions, from the point of view of criminal law, do not matter to us – explains prosecutor Dr. Monika Kaszubowicz, deputy of the District Prosecutor in Krosno.
According to the prosecutor, from the perspective of criminal law, it is a priority to determine whether the person preparing the event has completed the necessary activities ensuring the protection of participants and viewers. The final assessment always depends on the specific circumstances, but the regulations themselves do not exclude the organizer’s liability.
