When you first decide to throw away the extra pounds, you want to get rid of as much as possible, and preferably as soon as possible.

However, many also find that they end up taking the pounds back on, and so it could be smarter with a solution where you just make small changes.

At least it has worked for the 24-year-old Australian mother of three, Keely Dellit, who ended up losing 56 kilos, and it was just by tiny changes every week.

The mother was completely up to 126 kilos, and she knew it was time to change when she stood up on the weight shortly after the birth of her third child.

However, it was not only the number that was a motivation for Keely Dellit who did it first and foremost because she felt exhausted and unhealthy.

« I knew I was going to make a change. It was not only because of the number on the weight, but because I felt unhealthy and exhausted and because I wanted to be healthy for my three children, » Keely Dellit tells Womens Health Magazine.

A new change every week

However, she did not feel that a big change would be the right path for her, so she chose instead to add a tiny change every week, so that she gradually became healthier.

« I chose not to drop fast food, and other sweet things that I loved. I instead chose to take smaller portions, such as a small game of fries instead of a medium. So gradually I chose healthier alternatives such as grilled chicken instead of crispy, » the mother says.

« Once I got used to it, I started replacing sodas with juice, and then from juice to water with shower. Then it became brown rice instead of white, and then I tried plant -based milk instead of dairy products. Then I chose to cook instead of ordering food, » says Keely Dellit.

The gradual changes made her get used to being healthier, and today she has no trouble keeping a healthy lifestyle. She also comes up with what her typical meals look like.

Breakfast: Two scramble eggs and a small bowl of oatmeal and berries.

Lunch: A large salad consisting of. Salad. Avocado, cucumber, carrots, pepper, and grilled chicken or tuna.

Dinner: Boiled fish with a large pile of cooked vegetables.

Snack: Protein bars, carrots or natural peanut butter bars.

56 kilos of 14 months

When she started by getting used to the healthy diet, the pounds started to rattle from her, and that was without her putting a foot in a gym.

For the first six months, she thus exercised by walking around the park with her children, or following training videos from YouTube, and it was only when she felt comfortable enough that she started training on teams in a gym.

Here she started with a couple of single teams a week, but she was so happy that she ended up training every day.

Over the 14 months, she lost 56 kilos, and her focus has gone from weight loss to her now wanting to focus more on strengthening her muscles.

She has therefore chosen to take courses so that she is now a personal trainer on the teams that she herself started after the first six months of the weight loss.
