Mostecky autodrome must not bother with excessive noise, the court granted the court of spouses
« The autodrome should renounce all commercial rides and reduce the operation on Sunday and public holidays, » said attorney Václav Láskám after the court. Jiří Hulička left the court satisfied and smiled. « My wife and I will celebrate it at home and shave a beard, » he said.
Thursday's judgment changes the original verdict of the District Court in Most. The court compared the operation of the Most autodrome with the Sachsenring racing circuit.
At the German racecourse, the races are allowed only ten days a year, when the noise limits can be exceeded. The rest of the year may not be exceeded. There are also noise barriers around the circuit, they are missing in the bridge.
Mr and Mrs Hulička filed a lawsuit against Autodrom Most, which owns the North Bohemian racing circuit, seven years ago. In the court, they wanted to give the defendant company to bother them with noise, which often exceeds the legal limit of 50 decibels. Several courts have already been dealing with the action. While the District Court in Most has already rejected it twice, the appellate court had succeeded at the Court of Appeal once.
The couple are not the only ones who bothers excessive noise from the sports ground. Part of the Mostečany has been « fighting » for many years against the autodrome. They wrote hundreds of complaints to officials and politicians. In the autumn of 2023 protested in front of the Ministry of Healthwhere the ministerial officials from the speakers released the noise from the autodrome.
The demonstration was organized by the Health for the Bridge. According to the representatives of the Association of Overcoming noise limits, it damages health and attracts everyday life to more than 5,400 inhabitants living around the autodrome.
Huličková and other critics of noise do not mind occasional weekend races, which go to the bridge a large number of domestic and foreign fans.
The thorn in the eye is mainly commercial rides, where the circuit can rent virtually anyone on any day. According to the locals, the condition deteriorated after 2014, when the autodrome bought the current owner Josef Zajíček.
Not only did I get great motoring events here, but at the same time the number of commercial rides has increased. Without them, the operation would be considerably lossy. According to critics, the German and Austrian motorists, who would not pass on the local circuits because of the noise, come here.
The noise around the autodrome is regularly measured by the Municipality of Most. The results published on the website show that the 50 decibels limit is exceeded repeatedly. Several measurements were made by the regional hygienic station and the autodrome was fined for exceeding the limit. But they repeatedly appeal against them.
The spokesperson of Autodrom Most said in the past that years have been working to reduce noise burden and take measures to minimize the impact on the surroundings. There is noise from vehicles used on the track, the riders must use exhaust chokes.
The noise should dampen trees to form a natural noise barrier. For the upcoming season, the new operating rules also apply, which limits the operation of the autodrome time and reduces the number of cars that can move on the track at one point.
The autodrome originated on the site of the former brown coal mine between 1978 and 1983. Already at that time there was a residential development, albeit not as much as today. People who lived in a place before autodrome because It bothers downplaythat they moved to the autodrome only when he was standing and were to count on the noise.
