Russia will propose next Monday for the second round of direct negotiations with Ukraine. The conference location should be Istanbul again, explains Foreign Minister Sergei Lawrow. Ukraine agreed to meet again with a new meeting with Moscow’s supporters, but wants to see the Russian peace conditions beforehand. This was announced by the Ukrainian negotiator and Defense Minister Rustem Umerow on Wednesday evening in online service X.
Lavrow referred to a Russian concept for the negotiations: « The document shows our position at all aspects of how the basic causes of the crisis can be reliably overcome. »
The Russian delegation led by Vladimir Medinskij is ready to present the memorandum on the Ukrainian side and to explain in Istanbul. Medinskij announced on the short message service Telegram that he had sent the Ukraine corresponding suggestions for the exchange of memorands or conditions to end the fights. (APA/Reuters)
