Moscow migrated the white swans east

Following Monday’s Ukrainian drones in Russia, Moscow has decided to secure the TU-160 « white swan » bombers on the Far East. The swans moved over 6,700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border to the Anadyr air base. This move not only serves to protect the bombers, but also carries a strategic message to the United States, as the base is just 660 kilometers from Alaska.

Military experts say the relocation of bombers shows that Moscow is currently more important than global strategic deterrence. However, the proximity of the Anadyr base to the United States is a clear message: Russia continues to maintain its nuclear deterrent.

The TU-160 « White Swan » is the world’s largest supersonic bomber, a key element of the Russian nuclear triad. The airplane is 54 meters long and 55.7 meters and can fly more than 12,000 kilometers with a single refueling. The bomber can deliver up to 45 tons of armaments, including nuclear and traditional explosive cruiser clocks, hyper -sonic rockets and various bombs.
