Moscow cheers over the break between Trump and Zelenskyj
« The cheeky pig finally got a hefty round in the oval room, » writes the Russian president Dmitry Medvedev on x, and continues:
« Donald Trump is right: the Kiev regime risks a third world war. »
Friday night's meeting in Washington left better than what Vladimir Putin could have imagined in his wildest imagination.
The president himself has not stated himself, but among his faithful subjects in Moscow, the meeting already raises cheers.
Following Donald Trump's and JD Vances' verbal attacks against Volodymyr Zelenskyj, it is more clear than ever on which side the United States is now in the struggle between authoritarian Russia and Democratic Ukraine. Namely on Putin's side.
The Russian state -controlled media are generally slow to analyze news, even as revolving events as Friday night's. They are usually always waiting for the clear sign from the Kremlin about which angles are approved.
In anticipation of this, they forward the news from trumped American media. For example, a statement in Fox News that Trump would have « run out » Zeleskyj from the White House after the infected exchange of words, when it was in fact the Ukrainian president who left the scene in anger.
« Trump threw out Zelensky in the eyes of the world, » notes Moskovsky Komsomollets in a heading. Other media gratefully notes that the announced agreement on Ukrainian minerals does not appear to be rid of.
Thinkers as Medvedev, Nowadays vice chairman of the Russian Security Council and constantly being incite against Ukraine, are among those who have so far commented on the meeting.
He does so with the usual contempt for everything Ukrainian. In his channel on the telegram platform he expresses himself like this:
“Trump said straight out as it is to the cocaine clown. The fact that the Kiev regime plays a game that can lead to a third world war. And the ungrateful pig got a huge ear file. It was good. But not enough. All help to the Nazi regime must be stopped ”.
It thus writes a person who many times during the war has threatened both Ukraine and the Western countries with nuclear weapons.
Other people, As political scientist Sergei Markov, tries on a more thoughtful « analysis » in his telegram channels.
The starting point is that Zelenskyj deliberately tried to create a « scandal » in Washington, and Markov lands in that it was either due to being drug addicted and mentally ill, or that he was ordered by European leaders like Macron and Starmer to go against Trump.
Which country that has in fact brought the world closer to a third world war is preceded with silence in the hard -regulated Russian public.
