Because there are times when silence does not heal, but deepens. THE Safety net The performance breaks just this silence while giving space to the unspeakable. A piece that is both sensitive and outspoken, and which helps you face what many would rather sweep under the carpet. The suicide A topic we need to talk about!

What we don’t talk can kill – but the theater now helps to say

THE Safety net Not only a theater, but a social dialogue gesture. The piece shows the tragic story of a suicide from three different viewpoints – the victim, wife and an eyewitness. Thus, we can reflect on loss, responsibility and the weight of unspoken words not only at the individual level but also at the community level.

The main role is Krisztián Endrődy, partly by Csilla Radnay, Kata Gonda and Gergely Kovács Kolnai. Pál Kocsis and Erika Sajgál also speak. The piece was directed by Zsófi Alberti, who is also the brainstorming of the performance.

The statistics are scary: in 2023 almost 1,600 people He ended his own life in Hungary – which means the death of one person every hour. The purpose of the piece is not to judge, but to promote understanding and the open, helpful presence. Through humor and counterpoints, the performance does not become unbearable, and in fact, these elements make it really experienced.

I am convinced that the greatest power of the theater lies in calling us to think together along an artistic creation. Questions that are deeply concerned can come to the forefront, but in everyday life you rarely open space to really talk about them

Said Director Zsófi Alberti.

After the performance, viewers are not left alone with the experience: there is an opportunity to talk to the Foundation against suicide psychologist and creators. The goal is not only to look, but also to ask, understand – and, if necessary, dare to ask for help or give. The safety net is for all of us. For anyone who is concerned, and for anyone who simply considers it important not to listen.
