More than 500 trainees celebrate their successful completion

The training is in your pocket, now many doors are open. On Wednesday, 516 trainees were awarded for their completed apprenticeships in the areas of trade, industry, hotel and restaurant industry, services as well as in the social and education sector.

The ceremony took place in the Philharmonie. In addition to representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, Guillaume's hereditary duke, Minister of Education Claude Meisch and Minister of Labor Georges Mischo were also present at the ceremonial handover. In addition, 58 award winners received awards for « their remarkable efforts », explains the Chamber of Commerce in a press release.

Again signed more teaching contracts

In his welcome speech, Fernand Ernst, the President of the Chamber of Commerce, congratulated the winners on their success. He emphasized that with 1,189 new contracts signed for the school year 2024-25, the number of people who choose an apprenticeship has increased compared to the previous year. The Chamber of Commerce currently manages around 2,120 teaching contracts that are spread over around 750 structures.

The world of work has become more demanding and requires traditional know-how to link new technologies of our time.
