More than 430 detainees in PSP Easter operation

The PSP Easter operation, which runs from April 11 to 21, has already resulted in 437 arrests, more than half due to road crimes.

« In the last 5 days, since the beginning of this operation, PSP has made 437 arrests throughout the national territory. Of the arrests made we highlighted 229 by road crimes, namely 126 for driving a vehicle in a state of drunkenness and 103 for lack of legal qualification to drive, » says the PSP in a statement.

32 suspects were arrested for crimes against property (thefts, thefts and scans) and 32 for drug trafficking, and more than 43,100 individual doses were seized.

In the same period 239 occurrences of domestic violence were registered, and 8 suspects were arrested for the commission of this crime. 34 weapons, 15 of fire, 12 white and seven of other typologies were also seized.

In the last five days, the PSP has supervised 8,239 drivers and controlled by radar 37,477 vehicles, with 3,068 reports of offense, most due to speeding.

Regarding road accident, PSP registered, in the same time, 692 accidents, of which 220 injured, 9 serious injuries and 211 minor injured were resulted.
