More people died in an explosion in Chinese chemical

There was an explosion in a Chinese chemical plant, which was felt miles away. So far, the disaster has demanded 5 people’s lives. Nothing has yet been reported on what caused the explosion.

There was a huge explosion at noon at noon in the eastern part of China in a chemical plant in Santung Province. According to local disaster management, at least five people have lost their lives, 19 people have been injured and another six people are lost. Nothing has been announced yet on the cause of the explosion – reports AP news agency.

Felt several kilometers

According to a local resident, the windows broke out in a warehouse for more than three kilometers, and his home shook into the detonation. A student at a nearby school reported that after the explosion, he had seen reddish-yellow smoke to get out of the plant. The students were distributed and forbidden them to take them down because they smelled a strange smell in the air.

The local environmental authority said professionals had been sent to the scene to investigate the amount of pollution, but that the report had not yet been published.

The tragedy happened just two weeks after the National Ministry of Emergency Management held a seminar to prevent chemical risks. The central government then repeatedly called on industrial parks to increase their abilities in treating hazardous substances.

The explosion is located in Gaomi Youudao Chemical Co., which operates in the industrial park of Weifang in Santung. The company manufactures pesticides and medical chemicals, with more than five hundred employees. More than 230 firefighters have been led to the scene, Chinese state television (CCTV) reported.

The factory concerned was warned at least twice in 2024 for security risks, but in September, the Weifang authorities still praised it because, they said it was discovered and removed in the first eight months of the year with the involvement of party members.
