More and PPC Renewables: Eight photovoltaic stations with a total power of 882.4 MW in Macedonia received a definitive offer of connection to the network

Eight photovoltaic stations of 882.4 MORE, a subsidiary of the Motor Oil Group, and PPC Renewables, 100% subsidiary of the PPC Group, received Definitely connecting to the network, A decisive step in the licensing process.

Specifically, the two companies will build six photovoltaic parks totaling 742.4 MW in the Kozani Regional Unit, a 92 MW photovoltaic park in Kilkis and another 48 MW power in the Serres Regional Unit.

It is noteworthy that 300 MW projects of the two companies have already received connection terms, and in the near future they are expected to receive a definitive connection offer and other 311 MW projects of the two companies.

The electricity generated will be used to strengthen the Greek industry through bilateral energy markets (PPAS), but also to support farmers participating in the « GAIA » program, the special agricultural invoice aimed at enhancing agricultural activity through the providing cheap invoices.

It is noted that the photovoltaic stations in the Kozani Regional Unit are not included in the 2,130 MW photovoltaic power photovoltaics, already constructed by the PPC Group in Western Macedonia in the former lignite fields.

More implements a targeted investment plan for the development of large -scale renewable energy projects in Greece and the wider region. It focuses on technologies such as photovoltaics, winds and energy storage by constituting a powerful and ever -evolving productive portfolio that already classifies it among the largest and fastest growing RES producers in Greece.

For PPC Renewables, cooperation for the construction of photovoltaic stations is another step in the development of RES, both organically and through partnerships, in Greece and Southeast Europe, contributing decisively to the achievement of the PPC Group’s goal for renewable energy projects totaling 11.8 GW by 20.8 GW.

This collaboration, between More and PPC Renewables, highlights their strategic targeting to strengthen renewable energy sources, promoting energy transition and sustainable development in Greece.
