Mom Dore about the award -winning garden and Eurosong: injustice, our Marko deserved to be in the finals!

Legendary television presenter and editor Ksenija Urlicicknown as the steel Lady and mother Dora, reveals to us the secrets of her award -winning garden at this year’s Floraart, but also the secrets of personal care. He tells him how she experienced the results of this year’s Eurosong. After more than 40 years of experience in the media, the HRT entertainment program, says time has changed.

– It is difficult to pull the parallel between today’s and former TV competitions at the Eurovision Song Contest. Trends are lightning and we are all aware that this has recently become a performance of shocking stage performances, not quality songs. Ballads gradually lose the battle. Last year, a miracle with Baby Lasagna happened, this year I trusted myself with the name of Marko, because it is the name of last year’s moral winner and this year’s Bosniak representative. In my opinion, Marko is a copy of last year’s winner, so it was a miracle to me that he didn’t go through. Great injustice has been done. It would be time for politics to get off the competitions like this – the excellent former editor, who walking on the TV corridors, left an indelible mark on the TV corridors.

In her professional climb, she worked from the announcer, speaker, presenter and editor to the editor -in -chief of the entertainment program. For decades after her run the program, they have been talking about her as the best TV editors, and today the owners of one of the most beautiful gardens in Zagreb.

Today, he likes to enjoy the benefits of his green oasis near the heart of Zagreb. Here, in its lush and diverse garden of all possible colors and scents, it draws enviable energy and health, which today directs it far from the business world. On the contrary, the love of gardening brought her the first prize for the most beautiful home garden at this year’s Floraart in Zagreb, a special award for diversity and wealth in the choice and quality of her favorite flower – roses.

Because in the abundance of the most variety of nature that resides in those 800 square meters of magic that intertwines fruits, vegetables, spices, flowers, birds and bees in the perfect harmony of shapes, sounds and scents, which radiates that idyll, the lipstick occupies a special place.

There are more than 1000 of them, in all colors and sizes, from large pale yellow, fragrant bulgars, to shrubs and climbers, which delight everything from guests to passers -by.

– I’ve been nourishing my garden for years. I started without any foreknowledge, absorbed advice, informed myself and gradually educated myself. It was not in vain. The garden was all over my effort to restore energy, beauty and vitality. Somehow I became addicted to contact with the earth, even when it comes to endless weeds weed that never has an end. The award is a great recognition and joy. The profession recognized my effort and my passion. The competition was dangerous – he reveals proudly.

She also applied for the competition in 2018, when her garden, she adds, was not yet formed, but even then the jury stuck to the roses around her roses, which are still in the focus of her interest today. Then she received recognition for « The Best Choice and Quality of the Rose of Zagreb County ».

Once in ancient times, when she lived in another location, she also won the award for the most beautifully decorated floral terrace.

Today, in its green oasis, there are a flower garden and a large orchard in which apples, pears, cherries, vineyards, apricots and figs « compete for the most beautiful lady », and three increased vessels with vegetables. There are also real carpets of forest strawberries and the shrubs of currants, raspberries and aronia …

– There’s a lot of work to do around all that. Everything needs to be browned, pruning, treatments against pests … The most accepted forest strawberries, as well as aromatic herbs and some flower shrubs, such as hydrangeas, peonies, Jasmina, Ivancica. There is also a Croatian dandruff flower, which I have in all colors, from yellow, through white, to all shades of blue – a valuable woman tells us, in whose focus of interests are roses, which especially attracts the development of a bud that slowly dissolves and transforms into a lavish flower and eventually slowly veins, as a symbolism of life. The fact is that with work in the garden you forget about worries, he adds, but also on time.

– For the psyche great, but for physical health, especially at my age, it can be dangerous. When I overdo it, and that often happens, I really feel the consequences – says the smiling Ksenija, to whom the husband, he emphasizes, is crucial in heavy jobs (mowing, cutting large branches, watering …).

She is huge help, she points out, a friend of Katica, a garden lover with a lot of energy and knowledge.

– grandchildren mostly harvest, and the great -grandchildren are playing on the lawn. This is as far as their help is concerned – the grandmother and great -grandmother laughs, which, for now, has 13.

Working in the garden is by no means excluding physical exercise, which is extremely useful, and in its age, it is necessary. She does not visit the cosmetic salons, nor did she ever do so.

– I am scared of all possible interventions. I am sorry for young inflated lips of young girls with fillers who apply. Unconstitutional, unnecessary, ugly. Well, it adorns them, as my mother spoke, their youth itself. I would say about us older, dignified aging. In short: maximum hygiene, often showering, as much exercise, thorough face cleansing and feeding on natural creams, which are all week to be prepared at the pharmacy – reveals the nourished lady the simple secret of her youth.
